My Husband and My Daughter Made Pandecoco For Me-Third Attempt Was Perfect

I have been ordering pan de coco(Philippine bread with grated coconut) from fellow Filipina in Azle. During the first attempt, my husband and my daughter secretly made pan de coco but the bread was kinda hard. The second attempt was burnt because they forgot to bake it at low temperature. Today is their third attempt and they did a good job

Planting Moringa in August 2020-Springtown, Texas Zone 8a

Swing is Life in The Backyard-Lyn Pence Texas Life

I finished pouring the stones in my circle garden. I am satisfied with the result of my work but I might redo some stonework in the future. My plan is to move the round stepping stone and create a pathway next year. My father in law brought the garden table and chairs set 3 days ago in Dallas and my family went to take it.

Experimenting and Planting More Plants in Middle of July-Texas Gardening

My family and I purchased swan pots from a couple from Azle, Texas last week who were selling their house. I also asked if I can pull some of these bulb flower plants at their backyard and they said I can take any plants I want. Today, I planted some iris flower but I have no idea what color(I searched what bulb flower has very flat leaves). I have another bulb that I got from their backyard but I cannot identify it because it has no flower.

Growing Beautiful Sunflowers-God of Wonders-Texas Gardening

I remember a few months ago, I planted these sunflowers directly to the ground.
I like to play around what plants can be planted directly to the ground here in Springtown, Texas. I also wanted to know if these flowers needed some special care. Was curious and now I am enjoying the beauty of these sunflowers. I never had sunflower plants before. I measured this beauty and she is 8 inches wide not including the petals.

July 2020 Pence Family Pictures-Selfies

It is good to keep taking pictures of yourself and your family to remember good times. Taking
a lot of pictures now will save you from regrets in the future. When wrinkles are finally settling in our faces(my husband and me) at least we will remember that once upon a time we were young. My Dad always says "Our strength will not stay forever. Our strength doesn't go up but goes down.".

Spending Time with My Family-Playing Monopoly for the First Time

My kids and I never played a monopoly before. My husband has been wanting to play monopoly with us so he ordered it from Amazon since Walmart is out of stock since the COVID breakout. So we tried and Ohh boy, we took a break because it is a long game. Let us see who is going to win this game,

My Little Boy Finally Had His Hair Cut Since The Quarantine

We went to Fantastic Sam's Hair Salon to have a haircut for my little boy today. I like his new haircut, he looks like a teenage boy now and yet he is only 10 years old.

Eating the Fruits of My Garden

Here in the United States of America or anywhere in the world they have specific breakfast to eat. I grow up in poverty which we are thankful to whatever is in our table. So, this morning since I didn't yearn for bacon, egg, or pancake (typical American breakfast).

Planting Cherry Tree in Springtown, Texas

When I saw my friend's picture on Facebook picking up cherries in her backyard
, it interests me. I love cherries, they are not so sweet but bursting with flavor as soon as you take a bite on it. So, today I planted one, I hope that it will grow fast so I will enjoy its fruit before we will move into a new house someday.

Because It Rains My Vegetable Garden Started To Bloom

Fresh Veggies From My Garden
Hallelujah, Praise the Lord! For 3 consecutive days, its been raining heavily. Today, I went to check my garden and I am much happier with what I saw. The dying flower of the black-eyed peas shows its beautiful lavender flower.

Planting Mandevilla in Springtown, Texas

Today, I planted this flowering vine directly to the ground that caught my attention yesterday while we were in Lowes. I want to experiment if this flowering vine called Mandevilla will survive until winter here in Springtown. There are 5 months to ground itself and hoping it will bloom this coming Spring 2021. Though I read some comments that Mandevilla flowering plant loves heat and won't survive the winter.

I am Disappointed with my Garden Result-Gardening in Springtown, Texas

I am not an expert like my Dad which people call him as the best gardener in Delles(La Union, Philippines) before. Back in Arizona, I have a little garden with cowpeas, long beans, sweet potatoes, and okras. My Arizona gardening gave me a better result than here in Texas.

Growing Giant Spinach in Springtown, Texas

I planted some vegetables last April 13, 2020. My husband and I were amazed by the size because I was expecting the smaller spinach which I normally buy from Brookshire. I realized that I planted giant spinach. I sauteed it with yellow onions for our breakfast. Of course, I am a Filipina so, plain rice is not missing mmm yummy to my tummy.

Preparing the Garden Box and Planting Seeds-July 13,2020-Springtown, Texas Gardening

Today, my husband installed the 3 garden boxes and the gate for me.
I just wish my dog is good, I won't need fences. Smokey loved to ransacked the plants(original plants when we moved here) in the yard, chew on the wood, chew plastic and things that he will find around the house.

REALLY! Hanging Balls Only in Texas-LOL

We were driving down the road and my husband was pointing at the car ahead of us. Am I seeing that? My husband said it might be made of rubber or plastic. You are free to leave comments below.

My 40th Birthday Wish - Having a Vegetable Garden

My wish for my 40th birthday is to have a vegetable garden. My husband wasn't able to build it before because it was raining for almost 2 weeks. Anyways it doesn't matter, what matters most is that I have a garden. I am excited to have a vegetable garden here in Texas. I want to see roses someday in my backyard and grow my own vegetables.

Why Did The United States of America Reach the Top of the List Being Infected of Covid19

Yesterday, my family and I decided to get out and buy some groceries after 2 weeks of quarantine at home. While we were in Walmart, I saw a man who was giving a mockery smile because we were wearing a mask. I ignored him because I know that it is better to be safe than to be SORRY. Maybe he thinks I was so dramatic having

The Pence Family Visiting Texas States Capitol in Austin

Today, we are all excited to see Austin, Texas. On our way to Austin, my husband went to purchase a bag of bottled water for us in our journey. These kids were having fun with this slimy thing; little Adam was portraying a big mucus falling out from his nose. Yucky!

Anyways, I love my little family. Our children are very happy, funny in their own ways to make us mad, make us laugh too. The main reason why we are visiting these places is that the children wanted to post their photos in a journal book for historical places in their history subject.

Here we are Austin. So many selfie pictures.
